give3One gives freely, yet grows all the richer; another withholds what he should give, and only suffers want. Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered.Proverbs 11:24-25

For most of us, God’s blessings in our lives demands that we give back. We give because we must withhold nothing from God who gives us everything. God provides us the opportunity to work with Him in changing the world and therefore giving is more than writing checks. Giving is about being good stewards of what God has entrusted to us.

At St. Mark’s, our mission is to be God’s hands and feet in this world. Your giving helps with the operating fund by enabling us to earmark funds for outreach and evangelism. We extend the tangible love of Christ by furnishing apartments for those in transitional housing; providing food for the Resurrection Food Pantry; helping people in our community to meet their needs through grants from the Rector’s Discretionary Fund; and providing a Thrift Shop with gently used clothes that the community can purchase at an affordable price.

What are your talents?  Are you interested about being more intentional about being a member of St. Mark’s? Contact the Stewardship team at to see how you can be a good steward with what God has entrusted to you.

“As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God’s varied grace.” (1 Peter 4:10)

Dear St. Mark’s Family,

Our mission, in brief statements is: To deepen our faith; To extend our outreach; To enhance
our evangelism; and To increase our participation.

We are a presence in our faith community and the community around us through our helping
hands and our financial support. What if we could do more? Now is the time to prayerfully thank
God for the many blessings he has granted, and invite Him into your decision-making process.
Then open your heart and mind to the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Tithing is the biblical norm and a good spiritual discipline. Many start by giving a proportional
gift, then increasing either during the year, or the next year. More information will be coming in preparation for Commitment Sunday scheduled for November 5, 2017.

Whatever your gift, give it generously and joyfully.

Yours in Christ,
The Stewardship Ministry
