Greetings! It is with joy that I say hello to you as St. Mark’s priest-in-charge. It has been an exciting journey so far to get to know the parish leaders, celebrate in the beautiful worship space and facilities, and to learn of the parish’s many ministries and all the good St. Mark’s does – and how much fun we have as we do so! I am honored to serve as St. Mark’s spiritual leader at this time in the parish’s collective life, and to walk such next steps of the journey with the parish as God and God’s grace will allow. I invite you to join us!
I have been a priest for about ten years in the Diocese of Washington, serving parishes both large and small, while also teaching English at community college. Prior to ordination, I served in a range of lay ministries in Massachusetts and Pennsylvania. In the process, I was able to help people and their churches heal in times of conflict and loss, and continue to serve God as they had been called to do. In all my ministries I have learned how important it is for us to be well-informed and wisely-formed, walking in paths of love and service, doing good, and both seeking and accepting that peace which passes understanding. It one of the great blessings we have to share with a world that is hungry for it, often at unawares. As was said long ago, “Our hearts are restless till we rest in Thee.”
